Last year, we started planning a 'Bucket List' trip - to Egypt. Dave's mom, dad, sister Rachel were going to meet us in Cairo. We were supposed to leave 8 hours ago, but due to the riots, we canceled our trip last Saturday. We have been glued to the computer reading and watching Al Jazeera to get the latest news. The riots put a stop to our trip to Egypt, but I feel for the people whose families and friends are in Egypt. My friend Raquel is Egyptian, and has family in Alexandria and was very nervous when she did not hear from them due to the mobile and internet being shut down. I hope that everyone down there stays safe and this ends with as little loss to life as possible.
Needless to say, this week has been very busy with Dave taking his written candidacy exam this week, and me and Dave's mom skype-ing every night to plan our last minute trip. We leave tomorrow morning - for Rome and the Amalfi Coast!
I have LOTS of stuff to write about...The rest of Morocco where we stayed with my awesome friend Yorda in El Kebab...
